Percy – one man band plumber.

Product: CSDB Lite
Setup: Free
Monthly Cost: £35

When Percy the Plumber meets a new client he immediately puts their details into the database meaning he has their contact information to hand. He can do this from home via a computer or from his smart phone via mobile internet connection. Percy can arrange a date to see the client and put the appointment details into his database calendar. Percy can then create an accurate, professional looking quote and email it or print it out and hand it to the client. This can be easily modified according to client needs or changes to the job. If the client accepts the quote, Percy can record a Purchase Order and set the quote to accepted. A job date can then be booked in to the database. When the job is complete, Percy can raise an invoice from the accepted quote at the touch of button and email it or print it out and post to the client.

If an invoice has not been paid after 30 days, the database will generate a payment reminder which can be emailed to the client. Subsequent reminders are generated for 60 and 90 days. When a payment is received for a job, Percy can mark the invoice as paid or record a part payment if necessary.

Percy can record expenses in the database and at any time know how his business is performing. At a given period, Percy can email details of his business to his accountant or provide the accountant with a login for easy access to information required for end of year accounts and tax returns.

As Percy's company grows, his database can grow with him as it is possible to upgrade to a more fully-featured version. His wife or someone Office-based can takes a call and record details in a call log. She can add client details and schedule a visit if necessary. As Percy takes on staff, they can be given access to the database or added as a team meaning their time can also be scheduled. Documents can be uploaded such as expense documentation or information about a client job ie gas certificates or photos showing problems or proving work has been completed successfully.
